A Texas-based emergency room company is forgiving more than three-and-a-half million dollars in medical debt for patients seen before April 1st. Dr. Daniel Akers, the general manager of Express ER, says about half-a-million-dollars was covered from each of their six locations. Doctors who agreed to a pay cut will make up for lost profits. Staff won't be affected by pay cuts. Express ER has locations in San Antonio, Austin, Waco, Temple, Harker Heights, and Abilene.
