Alamo Drafthouse is offering virtual movies for people to watch while stuck at home during the coronavirus. The Austin-based company has joined the Virtual Cinema initiative, a joint effort between film distributors and independent movie theaters. Virtual Cinema movies rent for 12-dollars and can be streamed on computers, tablets or smartphones, or on a TV using Google Chrome or Apple TV. Customers can buy tickets through their local theater, which receives part of the ticket price. The Alamo Drafthouse has three San Antonio theaters.
