House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pushing plans for the "next phase" of stimulus legislation.
Hosting a telephone news briefing at the Capitol, Pelosi said bold action must be taken to renew America's infrastructure. She called it a key investment to build a smarter, safer national infrastructure that is built to last. Pelosi said it will create millions of new jobs.
President Trump tweeted this week that the next stimulus should involve another two-trillion-dollars for infrastructure renovation.
Trump signed a roughly two-trillion dollar stimulus bill last Friday. Economic stimulus bills are a response to the deepening economic fallout from the growing coronavirus outbreak.
