New York City Has More Than 20,000 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

New York City now has more than 20,000 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus. 

It easily leads the nation. Westchester County is second with nearly 4700 cases. They are followed with Nassau at almost 3300 and Suffolk at approaching 2300. 

The largest outbreak outside of New York state is Cook County in Illinois, which has more than 1400 cases. 

Rounding out the top 10 according to Johns Hopkins researchers are King County in Washington, Wayne County in Michigan, Rockland County in New York, unassigned regions of New Jersey, and New Orleans in Louisiana.
