Wuhan to Lift Travel Restrictions on April 8th, Ending Quarantine

The Chinese city of Wuhan is lifting its travel restrictions in two weeks after nearly four months of being on lockdown for coronavirus.

Wuhan, where COVID-19 is believed to have originated in December, will lift travel restrictions on April 8th.

Life in Wuhan came to a standstill in January after the Chinese government moved to completely shut down public transportation, highways, airports and businesses.

The Hubei province reported zero new infections on March 19th, a significant reduction since the height of the epidemic.

There have been more than 80-thousand cases in China and more than three-thousand deaths.
