Vice President Pence Speaks with Governors at FEMA

Vice President Pence is encouraging governors to reach out to the White House if they need anything to combat the coronavirus.

In a teleconference with governors at FEMA headquarters, Pence said he hopes President Trump's recently signed disaster declaration gives governors "confidence" that the federal government will always support them. He added that FEMA is now the hub of all of their efforts to make sure COVID-19 policies are locally executed, state managed and federally supported.

On Sunday, President Trump approved a disaster declaration for California over the growing number of coronavirus cases spreading in the state. Trump also said the National Guard had been activated in New York, California and Washington.

Vice President Mike Pence says Governors shouldn't hesitate to reach out to the White House.
