Matagorda County officials are reporting the first coronavirus death in Texas. The county's Emergency Operation Center says a man in his late 90s died Sunday night at the Matagorda Regional Medical Center in Bay City. The patient showed symptoms consistent with coronavirus, and his test for the virus came back positive on Monday evening. His case may have been community-spread, since there's evidence it may be connected to another one in Bay City.
