Governor Greg Abbott says Texas is now equipped to perform COVID-19 tests. The Governor and state health officials made the announcement during a media event over the weekend. The state health office labs that are already able to test for coronavirus are in Austin, Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth and Lubbock. Labs in Tyler, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Harlingen are set to come on board shortly.
