Border Patrol Nabs 24 Illegal Immigrants In Wildlife Refuge

A Customs and Border Protection statement says agents detained two dozen illegal immigrants in the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge near Alamo. The 24-immigrants were not freely moving about but were being trafficked into the country by smugglers who were extorting them for money. Two citizens of Mexico are now under arrest and face human smuggling charges. The immigrants were from several countries including Honduras and Ecuador.
