President Trump calls the U.S. a nation of redemption. Speaking in Las Vegas, Trump said the U.S. is also a country of second chances.
He was invited to address a graduation ceremony for a program that helps former inmates re-enter society.
Trump also praised bipartisan congressional passage of the criminal justice reform bill in 2018. He argued that productive, law abiding former inmates will not be "left behind."
