Family Sues Cement Truck Company After Fatal Collision Kills Gospel Singer

The family of a Houston gospel singer killed in a traffic accident is suing the company that owns a cement truck that was involved. Last Friday, the cement truck lost a load of wet cement on Old Humble Road, and a car that drove into it lost control, crossed the median, and hit 49-year-old LaTonya Earl's car head-on. Earl and the other driver both died at the scene. Earl was a well-known gospel singer who worked at Bethel's Family Baptist Church. The lawsuit accuses Lattimore Materials Corporation of negligence resulting in wrongful death.
