A fire destroyed a convenience store west of downtown early this morning. Flames were shooting from the Mom and Pop Food Mart in the 1300 block of Culebra when firefighters arrived. The store had been open earlier in the day, but was closed at the time of the fire. Investigators are looking for a cause. The store was a total loss. No one was injured.
