Texas A&M-Commerce police are identifying the sisters killed in a shooting on-campus. Officers say Abbaney and Deja Matts died yesterday in a targeted, isolated event inside Pride Rock Residence Hall. Abbaney Matts' two-year-old son was also discovered in the dorm and is now being careful for by family members. Investigators have not identified a possible shooter, but noted only Deja Matts was enrolled as a student. Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the probe. Texas A&M-Commerce is about 70 miles northeast of Dallas.
