Cruz And Cornyn Applaud New Trade Agreement With Canada And Mexico

Both Texas senators approve of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, a trade deal that's been passed with bipartisan support. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, both Republicans, voted in favor of the bill, which passed the Senate on Tuesday on a 90-10 vote. President Trump negotiated the USCMA deal, which replaces NAFTA, passed in 1994. Texas is the nation's largest exporter of international goods, and the second-largest importer. The state's two biggest trade partners are Mexico and Canada. Every Texas representative of both parties voted for USMCA when it passed the House last month.
