House GOP Leaders Voice Support For Airstrike That Killed Top Iranian

House Republican leaders are again voicing strong support for the recent U.S. airstrike that killed a top Iranian military leader in Iraq.

During a Capitol briefing, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise called General Qassem Soleimani a brutal terrorist and said his death was long overdue. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said the U.S. is safer and stronger because of President Trump's actions. Iran retaliated by firing missiles at two Iraqi bases which house U.S. forces. There are no reports of any American casualties in the attacks. 

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise praised the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says President Trump's actions should be hailed.
