A 39-year-old Texas man is facing murder charges for killing the woman he recently proposed to. Kendrick Marquette Akins allegedly shot Dominic Jefferson this weekend just a few days after she accepted his proposal on New Year's Eve. Witnesses say Akins fled the scene after shooting Jefferson during an argument. The Houston Police Department said Adkins surrendered to officers at the police station, and was charged after being questioned.
