A 31-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl are dead and two other children hospitalized with burns after their vehicle was hit by a pickup truck as they pulled out of a driveway in San Antonio shortly after midnight. The truck was reportedly going between 100 and 120 miles-per-hour when it hit them in the 3400 block of Poplar Street. During the impact, the teenage girl was tossed from the wreckage before the car burst into flames. Family members were able to pull two children from the car, but not before a 1-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy suffered burns. Police say the suspects truck finally came to rest nearly a block away and the two people in the truck fled the scene on foot.
