It took several hours of hard work, but a fire at an industrial site in Taylor is now extinguished. Fire crews in Taylor and several crews from surrounding communities responded to the fire Saturday evening at the Durcon factory on East Fourth Street. The external fire was extinguished quickly but it took firefighters until the early hours yesterday to get the fire burning inside under control. Durcon makes chemical and heat resistant epoxy-coated laboratory furnishings and work area countertops.
