The Texas Rangers and the Cedar Park Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting over the weekend. Officers responded before 1 a.m. Sunday to a call from 47-year-old John Perry. He was near Whitestone Boulevard and Bagdad Road, threatening to shoot himself and passing cars unless police stopped him. As two officers approached Perry, he reportedly pointed a rifle at them, and they shot him. Perry is in stable condition at a local hospital and is under arrest. Both officers are on administrative leave pending the investigation.
