State Legislature Considers Steps To Curb Vaping Hazards

Texas lawmakers are considering tougher regulatory steps for vaping devices. The Texas Department of State Health Services says 108 people have come down with vaping-related illnesses since April, and one has died. Almost a quarter of the reported cases involved minors under age 18. The state legislature on Tuesday considered such moves as limiting the available flavors of e-cigarettes, increased marketing campaigns against their use, and raising fines on retailers who sell vapes to minors.
