Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says he's confident President Donald Trump will once again win Texas in the 2020 election. Patrick submitted paperwork on Tuesday to put Trump on the state's GOP primary ballot in March. Despite Democrats' talk of turning Texas blue, Patrick says he believes Trump will carry Texas by a wider margin than he did in 2016, when he won the state by nine percentage points. Patrick says the state's low unemployment rate, strong oil sector, and new manufacturing jobs will deliver Texas to Trump next year.
