U.S. Attorney General William Barr says communities could wind up without police protection if they don't show "the respect and support that law enforcement deserves".
Speaking at a ceremony honoring police officers on Tuesday, Barr suggested communities who don't show that respect "they might find themselves without the police protection they need".
Some critics took issue with Barr's comments, suggesting they were aimed at communities of color.
