The monument in honor of the El Paso Walmart shooting victims is set to be officially unveiled this weekend. Mayor Dee Margo will speak during a ceremony set for this Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. to dedicate the Grand Candela monument. The setting has 22 aluminum arcs in a single 30 foot candela in the display contracted by Walmart for public viewing in the parking lot of the store at Cielo Vista where the shooting happened. The store reopened last Thursday for the first time since the August 3rd shooting that claimed 22 lives.
