Montgomery County is declaring itself a sanctuary for gun rights. County Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday in favor of a resolution put together by Commissioner Charlie Riley. Riley says the resolution was partly in response to Beto O'Rourke's threat to confiscate AR-15s after the mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso. The resolution is a statement of political policy that has no legal force. A growing number of Texas counties are declaring themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries.
