The nation is paying tribute to its military veterans today. Veterans Day is a federal holiday to honor members of the armed services past and present. Parades, speeches and patriotic-themed events are taking place across the country. National Veterans Day ceremonies take place at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia today, just across the Potomac River from Washington, DC. Wreath-laying ceremonies also take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and World War Two Memorial in DC.
