The father of a Texas woman who was killed by police in her own home has died of a heart attack. Marquis Jefferson died Saturday at age 59. His 28-year-old daughter Atatiana was his only child. A family spokesman says Jefferson never recovered from the grieving process. On October 12th, A Fort Worth police officer shot and killed Atatiana Jefferson in her home while responding to a call of a front door being left open. The officer has resigned from the force and has been charged with murder.
