The Baseball Writer's Association Of America's MLB awards finalists are out with some Houston players on the list. Houston's Alex Bregman along with Oakland's Marcus Semien and the Angels' Mike Trout are in the running for the American League Most Valuable Player Award. Houston slugger Yordan Alvarez, Rays utilityman Brandon Lowe and Orioles starter John Means are AL Rookie of the Year finalists. Houston's Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander are vying for the AL Cy Young Award along with Tampa Bay's Charlie Morton. Award winners will be announced Monday through Thursday next week.
