Google Buys Fitbit For $2.1 Billion

As if Google didn't already own enough of your data - the tech giant just made a deal to acquire Fitbit for $2.1 billion.

The company has previously tried to enter the wearable tech business with products like Google Fit and Wear OS, with mixed results.

The deal sent Fitbit's stock price soaring this week, but still needs to be approved by federal antitrust regulators

If you're concerned about your data, Google says users will have the chance to review or delete it. Fitbit also said user data won't be used for Google ads.
