Castro Raises Enough Funds To Remain In Race

Democratic presidential hopeful Julian Castro is announcing he's met his fundraising goal to remain in the race. In the final ten days of October, he raised more than $800,000 as he looks to qualify for the next two debates.

Castro's campaign said around 50,000 donors helped raise more than one-million-dollars last month, and said Thursday, it had its best fundraising day since August. With 165,000 donors total, he's met the requirement for the November debates, and his campaign said earlier this week he was only 20,000 donors shy of reaching the December debate threshold. However, he still hasn't met the polling requirements necessary to participate.

To qualify for November, candidates must have three-percent approval rating in four polls or five-percent in two early state polls. Castro has registered at one-percent or less in all polls except one.
