COTA to offer jobs to homeless during F1 weekend

Circuit of the Americas in Austin has announced they will be offering jobs to the homeless during the upcoming Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this weekend. COTA is partnering with area homelessness support centers to offer $15 an hour jobs to individuals with Mobile Loaves & Fishes and Caritas of Austin. The workers will be hired to do overnight janitorial work during the race weekend.

With the track located on the far east side of Austin, the track will help provide transportation from Del Valle High School and will be providing meals to the temporary workers.

COTA chairman Bobby Epstein said, "all of us have a role to play in confronting homelessness in our community. We’re going to do our part at COTA, and I hope other Austin businesses will join us in helping our neighbors achieve their potential."
