A person had died after a piece of metal from a road sign flew into a car on I-35 north of Waco. DPS says a pickup truck hit the sign and sent metal from it through the windshield of a car, killing a passenger who was riding in the front seat. An investigation is underway. DPS says it appears the sign was already in the roadway when the pickup hit it.
