Lawyers representing former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger say they plan to appeal both her murder conviction and her ten-year sentence. Guyger was convicted last month of the murder of her downstairs neighbor, Botham Jean, just over a year ago. She says she mistakenly entered his apartment, thinking it was hers, and shot Jean because she thought he was a burglar. Guyger's legal team has filed an intent to appeal.
