Astros Prepare For Game One Of The World Series

The Astros are in the World Series for the second time in three years thanks to Jose Altuve. He blasted a ninth inning walk-off homer to beat the Yankees 6-4 on Saturday to clinch the American League Championship Series, four games to two.

Gerrit Cole, who has not lost since May, will start the opener of the World Series for the Astros tomorrow night against the Nationals at Minute Maid Park. Cole has a 0.40 ERA in three postseason starts. Houston's win Saturday allowed it not to burn Cole for a Sunday ALCS Game Seven. Justin Verlander will start Wednesday for Houston before the series shifts Friday to Washington.
