President Donald Trump is confirming former Texas governor Rick Perry is resigning as Energy Secretary. Trump told reporters in North Texas today Perry would be leaving the administration around the end of the year. Rumors have been swirling for weeks about the ex-Texas governor's future in Washington although Perry had denied he was leaving. Trump says a new Energy Secretary will be announced soon.
