President Trump thinks closed impeachment depositions should be broadcast live. Trump tweeted that Democrats are allowing "no transparency" and he called the proceedings "Witch Hunt hearings." He argued, "If Republicans ever did this, they would be excoriated by the Fake News." The President also insisted that he does not know most of the officials from his administration who are being deposed on Capitol Hill.
Meanwhile, Career diplomat George Kent is being deposed in the House impeachment inquiry. It is a closed door meeting. Kent is a deputy assistant secretary of state who oversees U.S. policy on Ukraine.
