Air Canada Will No Longer Address Passengers As "Ladies And Gentleman"

Onboard passenger announcements for Air Canada flights will start taking a more gender-neutral stance soon.

According to an internal memo reported in the French-language La Presse, employees will greet travelers with "hello everyone" rather than "ladies and gentlemen".

"We want to ensure an inclusive space for everyone, including those who identify with gender X," reads the document sent last month.

In the US, both United and American Airlines allow for customers to choose non-binary gender options when booking tickets.
