Unemployment Rate Hits 50-Year Low

The unemployment rate hit a 50-year low in September, but economists are still concerned about the latest numbers from the Department of Labor. That's because the U.S. economy added just 136,000 jobs last month, slightly below projections. Meanwhile, U.S. wage growth slipped to 2.9 percent.

Analysts say the September job numbers make it more likely that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates again when it meets later this month.
