A Texas man convicted of killing his wife and stepsons twelve years ago has been executed. Robert Sparks was given a lethal injection Wednesday at the state penitentiary in Huntsville. The 45-year-old admitted to police that he repeatedly stabbed his wife and two stepsons at their Dallas home in 2007. He also confessed to raping his two stepdaughters, both of whom were under the age of 14. A request to stop the execution by Sparks' lawyers was turned down by the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before it was carried out.
