Governor Greg Abbott is in Japan this week on a mission of economic goodwill. Abbott met on Monday with executives of Aisin Seiki and Aisin AW in the city of Nagoya. The governor thanked them for Aisin AW's recent decision to build a manufacturing facility in Cibolo, Texas, that will create about 900 jobs. The company is partnering with Toyota to build the plant, which will make transmissions. Aisin Seiki produces Toyota transmission parts.
