O'Rourke Doubles-Down On Action Against Guns

Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O'Rourke is dismissing criticism that his stance on gun control is playing into the hands of the National Rifle Association. The former Texas Congressman tells NBC's Meet The Press the priorities in Washington, D.C. are "screwed up." During Thursdays debate, O'Rourke said he planned to take away assault rifles from civilians as part of a nationwide buy-back proposal in response to the spike in mass shootings. Following his comments some Democrats said they're concerned it will help fuel the notion that Democrats are out to destroy the Second Amendment. O'Rourke said he refused to acknowledge the politics, polling or fear the NRA.
