Florida Governor Warns Residents To Prepare For Dorian

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is warning residents of his state to prepare now for Hurricane Dorian. The Republican said that at this point it's impossible to know where Dorian will make landfall, so everyone should start preparing. After meetings at the National Hurricane Center in Miami, he urged residents to have at least seven days worth of food, water and medicine on hand. He suggested residents familiarize themselves with possible shelters in their area as well as local evacuation routes. He said if local officials order an evacuation, it will be for good reasons and they should heed their calls. Above all he wants all residents to follow local news updates on the storm.
