Report: Cowboys Offer Elliott Lucrative Contract

Multiple-outlets report the Cowboys have offered holdout Ezekiel Elliott a contract extension that would make him the second highest paid running back in the NFL. ESPN's Ed Werder tweeted it will be less that what the Rams signed Todd Gurley for, but more than what the Jets gave Le'Veon Bell. Gurley signed a four-year extension for just less than 58-million dollars with 45-million guaranteed last summer. Bell signed a four-year contract for just more than 52-million dollars with 27-million guaranteed in March. Elliott has two years left on his rookie contract and is due to make 3.85-million dollars in 2019.
