Astros split doubleheader with White Sox

Ivan Nova tossed a complete-game four hitter as the White Sox beat the Astros 4-1 in Chicago to split the doubleheader. The Astros won the first game 6-2. Ryan Goins lined a two-run single for the White Sox, who scored three runs in the second inning. Chris Devenski took the loss as an emergency starter after Gerrit Cole suffered a hamstring injury warming up. George Springer drove in the Houston run. The Astros lost for only the second time in their last 11 games.
