El Paso mourns following mass shootings

The mayor of El Paso, Texas is issuing a local disaster declaration following this weekend's deadly mass shooting. Mayor Dee Margo says the move activates "appropriate recovery efforts from the State" that will help the city deal with the shooting that left at least 22 people dead. The mayor said the city has been resilient and won't be defined this "senseless act of violence."

El Paso Police say they are still working to notify the victims' families before they publicly ID at least 21 people who were killed. More than two-dozen others were hurt in the shooting Saturday at a Walmart. Congressman Will Hurd is asking all Americans to report online threats. On CBS' Face the Nation, the Texas Republican said people who see threats of mass violence should report it. Hurd said that while he was one of eight Republicans who supported a universal background check bill, the focus should also be on how shooters are radicalized.
