Children among victims of El Paso shootings

Texas authorities are investigating the motive behind today's mass casualty shooting in El Paso. Police say they are looking into an unsigned manifesto posted online, where the author expressed anti-immigrant and white supremacist views. The suspect, a 21-year-old man from Allen, Texas. He surrendered to authorities after allegedly killing 20 people and injuring 26 others, including children.

Many families were shopping at the Cielo Vista Walmart to pick up their back to school supplies on a sales tax holiday. Crusius is expected to be arraigned on capital murder, and because of an online diatribe he allegedly posted an hour before the shooting, he could also be charged with a hate crime. NBC News Reports that law enforcement agencies were aware of the essay just prior to the shooting.
