Border agents are responsible for saving the life of an illegal immigrant found in distress and suffering from dehydration near Laredo. A Border Patrol Emergency Medical Technician immediately administered intravenous fluids due to the individual’s dehydration symptoms. Further evaluation determined the subject needed additional medical attention and was transported to Laredo Medical Center. The Laredo Sector Border Patrol says it is another example of the dangers of people crossing illegally into the United States through dangerous environmental conditions.
