Gerrit Cole allowed one run and two hits, while striking out 11 in seven innings, as the Astros drubbed the Athletics 11-1 in Houston. Cole leads the majors with 205 strikeouts. Aledmys Diaz and Yuli Gurriel each homered and drove in three runs. Yordan Alvarez added a solo shot and drove in two as Houston won its sixth straight. Alvarez has 35 RBI in his first 30 games, which is a major league record.
