House Bill Orders Pentagon To Reveal Tick Experiments

A new House bill is ordering the Pentagon to reveal if they have ever used infected ticks in biological warfare experiments. Republican Congressman Christopher Smith of New Jersey wrote an amendment that requires Pentagon officials to disclose whether ticks or insects allegedly used in defense experiments from the 1950s to the 1970s were released by accident or by design. Smith's bill is based on a theory about a possible link between infected insects and the spread of Lyme disease.
