Vice President Mike Pence was in McAllen, Texas today where he visited a detention center for illegal immigrants. Pence says it is clear there is a humanitarian crisis. Pence said, "the crisis is real, but what is not real is what he called "slanderous allegations of heartless mistreatment by Customs and Border Protection." Pence said the border must be secured in order to address this humanitarian crisis.
