Rangers Shut Out Astros

Lance Lynn struck out 11 in seven innings and became the first big league pitcher to win 12 games as the Rangers shut out the Astros 5-0 in Arlington. Rougned Odor drilled a two-run double in a four-run first for Texas. Joey Gallo also contributed an RBI double in the first. George Springer had two of the seven hits for Houston. Framber Valdez did not make it out of the first, retiring only two of the nine batters he faced in defeat. Alex Bregman left in the third inning for Houston after taking a bad-hop grounder off his chin.
